It’s your last chance to shop one of the most popular pieces in KD history. The Peach Tulle Skirt is £62.50 (half price) this week before it makes a triumphant return in a kaleidoscope of pastel colours next week.

Go quickly to the site KD Girls and shop the tulle skirts, then tag #kirstydoyle so we can see how you style your Tulle Skirts just like the girls below did!

Dress of the day!

Today’s Dress of the Day is the Navy Mini-Penelope, the Penelope has been seen in every colour for the past few seasons but never in a mini version. Shop the Mini-Penelope in duchess satin so the stuctured frill is even more so. Wear for your work’s Christmas party and accessorise with metallic tones.

This dress is the perfect trans-seasonal piece, althought it will be perfect for your Christmas party season it will also work well in to the Spring when worn with nude accessories.

Happy Thursday!

Welcome to bumptown.

This is a personal part of the blog which I have been pondering on starting for the last few weeks. If you don’t follow the KD Instagram you won’t know that I am super excited to be 25 weeks pregnant. This is my first baby and it still doesn’t feel real.

I have looked for a fashion/style/maternity blog and haven’t found one which caters for my needs as a working mother-to-be. I can also say the same about the highstreet, I have been keeping a look out for some maternity style staples and have been so disappointed that I am considering naming and shaming the stores I visited (.. Topshop/H&M etc). I think for a store to fully cater for a woman’s lifestyle means they should carefully consider everything from workwear, occasionwear and maternitywear.

As the creative director at KD I want to also cater for #kdgirls who are going through one of the most exciting yet confusuing times in their lives. I am constanly trying on the collection to see what works, why it works and why it doesn’t. So many people have contacted me to say I should design a maternity collection. But I feel as this is so brand-new to me that I would really appreciate your feedback on pregnancy style/tips.

I know for myself my own body changes constantly, as does my thoughts on how I want to dress the bump. In my job I need to be dressed in smart workwear to greet customers, bespoke brides and attend important meetings. I need a wardrobe that is versatile and includes items I can mix and match.

Through the next few posts I will be interviewing other mums-to-be on what they love to wear and share.

“STYLE IT/WEAR IT/SHARE IT” doesn’t stop when you are pregnant.

Also let’s look to the famous faces/street style stars and see how they style it up. (You know we are all obsessed with how Blake Lively has knocked it up a gear when it comes to pregnancy style.)

Cape Club//The KD Sacha Cape.

Screen shot 2014-10-30 at 14.45.12 has been talking Coat Tribes recently and here is one trend we are totally loving in the KD studio; the cape club. If you are a first-timer to the Cape Club then the Sacha Cape is for you as it is part tuxedo/part cape. If the oversized circular cape seems too much for your frame then you would be more suited to the Sacha. The Sacha in a rich caramel cashmere wool has a fitted bodice and flared open sleeves, thus giving the illusion of a cape.

Shop the Sacha now  Wear it with the Jules Dress or for a more casual look wear with a pair of skinny jeans a grey t-shirt!
