We released a behind the scenes shot of this look from Friday’s shoot and the #kdgirls went stir crazy for it. I think everyone dreams of the Carrie (Sex and the City) moment of spinning in your frou-frou-tu-tu in Manhattan whilst a bus drives past with your face on it.. Or is that just us?

You can shop the peach tulle skirt now as part of the latest launch. The Party-Perfect collection has an array of mix and match separates, stand out dresses and luxurious fabrics that will make up your winter capsule wardrobe.

We would make this skirt work in a million ways, here it is styled with the cropped jersey tee which is a steal for £40 but works with quite a few of the Party-Perfect separates. The skirt could be styled with a cropped black mohair jumper and leather jacket or tuck in a chiffon shirt and wear a statement pair of earrings and you are good to go!

Happy tu-tu-tuesday!

Thanks Kurt Geiger!

Major shout-out to Kurt Gieger (Church Street, Liverpool) for letting us pick our favourite shoes from their AW14 collection, including the Bond Shoe  which has the most perfect metal stiletto heel, this is a shoe that worked with every KD look. However when we released some teaser shots over on our instagram account, the shoes that really got people into a frenzy were the Gylda black high-heel sandal with cut out suedette features. For us the Gylda Shoe is like the Gladiator sandal for the Winter.

Thanks KG!

Don’t know what to wear for a Christening? Is it… a boy?  …a girl? …unsure?  At Kirsty Doyle we have chosen 3 perfect dresses to help dress you for this occasion. For this look, Beth (one of our KD styled up girls) looked conservative but chic, girly but sophisticated and demure but playful. Shooting by the suitcase area on Hope Street, this was a perfect opportunity to capture the summer weather in the UK.

Blue Rica – This baby blue plunge neck dress is complementary for a summertime celebration. Team it with nude heels and a loose wave hair style to hide the plunge.

Pink Esme – Be pretty in pink in this lace paneled fitted dress. With a top knot bun it looks effortlessly chic and shows off the shoulder detailing.

Peach Penelope – Ruffle it up with this pencil dress. A lovely colour for a Christening if you do not wish to go for the obvious blue and pink. Cut below the knee, it balances the expose of the top half of the outfit and the top bun helps elongate your height.

When you are attending your next Christening, the KD team think it’s best to let the dress do the talking and keep everything else simplistic. Pastel tone are perfect for this occasion so check the KD store website to our summer collection. Comment and share your favorite dress you think would be suitable and remember balloons are not just for kids.

Outifit of the day

So I got these little beauties for my Birthday, cherry red patent Louboutins – a dream of a shoe. All my girls put their heads together and came up with the amazing idea to buy me these iconic shoes, even the girls in Cricket said the red was so much more “Kirsty” than the nude versions, they were so right! To be honest I am terrified of marking these, they will become my “taxi” shoes, I doubt I will be wearing these for anything but dinner dates.

I had a dinner date yesterday with Benna, the nook and willow girls and Jessica so I debuted them with a classic KD oversized silk shirt, circa 2011 and a black scuba pencil skirt. Matching the red lipstick to the shoes was the only other flash of colour.

I suppose this post could also be a STYLE IT/WEAR IT/SHARE IT blog post too? How I styled my KD Silk shirt?

How to wear the Nora Dress.

The Nora Dress

How to wear the

Today’s top SALE pick is the cherry red Nora Dress. The fitted backless bodice with soft circular ruffle and delicate straps is a perfect cocktail dress for a summer wedding. But fear not here’s our styling tips!

A sleek up-do will let the dress do the talking and allow you to wear some Elizabeth Taylor-esque jewels. We have chosen these Erickson Beamon earrings in cherry red with hints of fuschia, lemon and blue. Keep your make-up simple and focus on contouring the eyes and cheekbones.

We like the rest of the world love Nicholas Kirkwood’s heels, we decided that if you are to invest in a pair of SS13 heels to take you through to next season, these Nicholas Kirkwood for Pollini metallic wedges are just the pair! It would be silly to splurge on a sandal so these pointed full shoes are just the ticket!

This is something we are trialling with our customers ready for the new-look site. We want you our lovely customers to give show us how you STYLE IT / WEAR IT then SHARE IT with the rest of the Kirsty Doyle girls! Every customer has their own individual style and wearing their pieces for different occasions. In the studio we love to see what people do to their dresses, is it a classic peep-toe or a pointed stiletto. I want to wear the Lizzie Dress with some pumps for a weekend in Amsterdam, different to another of our customers who wore hers with a YSL clutch and Louboutin heels.

If you want to be part of this email your STYLE IT / WEAR IT / SHARE IT to me –

The Wonderful Nook and Willow.

I HEART Nook and Willow .

I popped into Nina and Clare’s studio on Friday, I brought scones with jam and cream and coffees. I have known these lovely ladies for years, so we slipped straight into catching up and finding out about things they are upto – mainly an amazing idea of shoe workshops! Myself and Jessica were amazed by the styles that you can create in these one day workshops from ballet flats with patent toes or sandals with a leather bow on them. Clare and Nina began making leather totes, clutches and wallets but now they make belts, iPad cases and passport covers – they cover a variety of accessories that girls want and need.

I want Nina and Clare to show me how to make belts that I can put the ruffles on – for the FIFI dress from the Kiki collection. I want the belts to beautifully finished pieces that you would purchase to go with jeans and a t-shirt. So I will let you know how I get on.

Here are some pictures of their fabulous studio full of ideas and inspirations – I highly recommend a look on their site to see exactly what they can do!
