Don’t know what to wear for a Christening? Is it… a boy? …a girl? …unsure? At Kirsty Doyle we have chosen 3 perfect dresses to help dress you for this occasion. For this look, Beth (one of our KD styled up girls) looked conservative but chic, girly but sophisticated and demure but playful. Shooting by the suitcase area on Hope Street, this was a perfect opportunity to capture the summer weather in the UK.
Blue Rica – This baby blue plunge neck dress is complementary for a summertime celebration. Team it with nude heels and a loose wave hair style to hide the plunge.
Pink Esme – Be pretty in pink in this lace paneled fitted dress. With a top knot bun it looks effortlessly chic and shows off the shoulder detailing.
Peach Penelope – Ruffle it up with this pencil dress. A lovely colour for a Christening if you do not wish to go for the obvious blue and pink. Cut below the knee, it balances the expose of the top half of the outfit and the top bun helps elongate your height.
When you are attending your next Christening, the KD team think it’s best to let the dress do the talking and keep everything else simplistic. Pastel tone are perfect for this occasion so check the KD store website to our summer collection. Comment and share your favorite dress you think would be suitable and remember balloons are not just for kids.
Previewing our behind the scene shots on our Instagram, the anticipation is finally over. We are revealing the images of how our 5 KD styled up girls have interpreted their stylish personalities throughout the collection their own way. During the week, they came into the studio and chose 2 products of their preference. With the help of the KD team, we captured their street style creations against the street art that surrounds our studio in the creative Baltic Triangle.
Georgia is pretty in pink with Jayda Dress and Perci Coat.
Seventies vibe with Molly in Lana Skirt & Lana Bralet and Alba Jumpsuit
Sporting it up with Kwan in Dolly Dress and Black Fishtail Dress.
Keeping it classic with Beth in Sabrina Dress and Tava Trousers.
Our KD styled up girls have done a fabulous job and received a £50 voucher to spend on the collection. Keep a look out for our scouts in the future for this great, fun and stylish opportunity!

In completely unrelated fashion news, myself and Emma are doing our final half marathon of the year on the 24th of November in memory of a very special little girl, Isabelle. We started running this time last year in preparation for the Liverpool Half Marathon in March 2013, we haven’t really stopped running since. Take this from me I am no born-runner. I hated it in school and I probably hated it for most of this year. They say it takes 12 months to really start to make progress in running. However I don’t want to bore you with these tales but instead share some pictures from my running year featuring our beautiful city in moonlight, me and the sister after a tunnel 10K, miracle green juice, dawn calling this summer in the form of a neon pink hues and myself and Emma at the Warrington half marathon in September.
This will be the toughest run because the weather says freezing, the route is unknown and our training has been more interval than distance. However we are running to raise as much money as possible for Alder Hey. As a patron of the hospital it is a charity close to my heart. Isabelle is the daughter of my partner’s cousin. Her parents have set up a justgiving page to raise as much as they can for the unit that took great care of their daughter.
Any donation is welcome and greatly appreciated.
It was another weekend of glorious sunshine, and more importantly another weekend featuring a KD Bespoke bride.
Our gorgeous Bride got married at the amazing Liverpool Hope Street Hotel, in a KD bespoke lace fishtail dress. There is no denying she was a beautiful radiant bride.
She completed her wedding look with a simple but chic up-do, accessorised with a cute hairband and veil.

I am really pleased to have been nominated as part of The Leaders 2012 in Liverpool.
If you are visiting Liverpool I highly recommend the Hope Street Hotel. It’s an award winning boutique hotel in the centre of Liverpool. They are a dog-friendly, iron your clothes, lend you a bow-tie kind of hotel. I thought it was worth a mention in the blog, despite everything else the view of Liverpool is fantastic!
Everyone is topping up their luscious lashes, from red carpet celebrities to the fashionistas on the front rows of fashion weeks!
I wanted to be in on the secret and we have been road testing the Blink + Go lashes at The House Beauty Spa Liverpool. The lashes last 2 weeks if you use the sealant every night. I have looked after mine and wipe away make-up very carefully to keep the lashes full and voluminous.
I highly recommend these for day to day wear, I get mine topped up on a Saturday and I even have some on the bottom lashes for extra effect – especially if I am out in the evening.
