KD STYLED UP SUMMER EDITION
Hair by Lindsey Henderson
Our previous KD street style girl Georgia has now shown us how to keep cool this summer and still look fabulous wearing the KD Moloka skirt teamed with the grey jersey t-shirt and also styling the white KD Trea dress. Georgia accessorises with Miu Miu sunglasses and duck egg blue Balenciaga bracelet, keeping it simple and chic for the hot weather. Hair stylist Lindsey Henderson creates that easy and edgy take on plaits with a side scooped fishtail; we love this look at the KD studio!

What makes your product/service so unique in the North West?
We have been doing hair and make for brides since the salon very first opened in 1990. Our team are masters of beautiful, wearable hair and we pride ourselves on the attention to detail and the personalisation of every hairstyle we send out. We were finalists for the coveted title of British Hairdresser of the Year in the North West 2013 and work each season at London Fashion week, and for publications including Vogue, Red and Elle magazine regularly which means we know what the trends are, in fact we are creating them. We can tailor a bespoke wedding package for brides and we offer free consultations with our hairdressers and beauticians in which we can look at every aspect of your prep for the big day including cut, colour, skin analysis and home care regime.
What would your 3 top tips for Brides-to-be?
1.Be the most beautiful version of yourself (don’t try to do something that’s not you, or that you don’t feel comfortable in, remember you have to look at those pictures forever), 2.Be prepared (have a trial of your hair and make up before the big day so you know exactly what you’re getting, how it feels and most importantly will it last)
3.Finally don’t buy your head dress before you’ve chosen your hairstyle (many brides make the mistake of buying a headdress before deciding on the hair and then the hairdresser is trying to find a style that works with the headdress rather than one which best suits you, your face shape and your hairtype. The headdress should be an add on to the hair rather than the other way around)
What is your fantasy wedding venue?
Dana Point, Southern California, if i was getting married again it would definitely be there on a cliff top over looking the Pacific Ocean a world away from St Alberts’ church in Cantril Farm where I was actually married ha!
Thank you and we look forward to welcoming you to the show on the 24th of April.

In completely unrelated fashion news, myself and Emma are doing our final half marathon of the year on the 24th of November in memory of a very special little girl, Isabelle. We started running this time last year in preparation for the Liverpool Half Marathon in March 2013, we haven’t really stopped running since. Take this from me I am no born-runner. I hated it in school and I probably hated it for most of this year. They say it takes 12 months to really start to make progress in running. However I don’t want to bore you with these tales but instead share some pictures from my running year featuring our beautiful city in moonlight, me and the sister after a tunnel 10K, miracle green juice, dawn calling this summer in the form of a neon pink hues and myself and Emma at the Warrington half marathon in September.
This will be the toughest run because the weather says freezing, the route is unknown and our training has been more interval than distance. However we are running to raise as much money as possible for Alder Hey. As a patron of the hospital it is a charity close to my heart. Isabelle is the daughter of my partner’s cousin. Her parents have set up a justgiving page to raise as much as they can for the unit that took great care of their daughter.
Any donation is welcome and greatly appreciated.
Don’t say we didn’t tell you… x
We have just had the delivery of the day! All of our new packaging arrived!
Jessica (my sister) spent some time designing our new-look branding, we wanted to keep the clean logo which we have had since my brand was born and include our new STYLE IT/WEAR IT/SHARE IT motto. The brand colours have always been neutral, keeping the look classic and timeless, grey tones and monochrome seen in this packaging make the branding look luxury and hopefully people will be excited to see what is in their brown paper box that the post man brings!
