Kirsty Doyle customers can look forward to vinyl capes, leather skirts and satin dresses. The bright Amici print takes centre stage, appearing in different forms from mini dresses to maxi skirts. Our personal favourite in the studio is the gorgeous Emeline dress, with a dramatic floor length skirt, peplum bodice and leather panel back. The gown is perfect for your A/W events.

Bespoke Bridesmaid – The LD Dresses

KIRSTY DOYLE Bespoke Bridesmaids

The lovely bride Laura sent us a snapshot from her wedding day with her 5 friends dressed in the LD Bridesmaid dresses. The LD draped back, the LD bustier and the LD one shoulder dress in lemon have been a runaway success – they are a firm favourite for brides up and down the country. The tailored shape with fluted mermaid style skirt look is cut to flatter and elongate the body.

They come in a variety of colours but this delicious lemon sorbet shade shimmers in the sunshine.

My weekend in pictures.

I spent my weekend in Amsterdam staying with friends. I have been before but it is always different when you stay with people who live where you are visiting. You are less like a tourist and more like a resident. On Saturday we all ventured off to a field in the middle of nowhere to go to Welcome to the Future. This festival was tiny compared to the giant that is Glastonbury, but it was full of tanned gorgeous Dutch people, all super friendly.

On the last day we spent it wandering the cosmopolitan streets of Amsterdam looking at the flower stalls and canals. I love the fact that we had a completely different experience this time, the bars were so much better when we had someone leading the way. We stayed outside of the centre in a small village in a beautiful Grand Designs-esque house which was the perfect tranquil escape after a day at a festival.

I must admit though, I have two of Jessica Doyle’s printed silk kimono’s that are perfect for city breaks/festivals/cover-ups these were the perfect wardrobe staple for a warm weekend away. It is always difficult trying to predict what people are going to wear when you go to a new city, styles and trends constantly evolve. These silk pieces are an easy accessory to a black body con dress and my nike pumps for day time exploring.

What did you get up to last weekend?

How to wear the Nora Dress.

The Nora Dress

How to wear the

Today’s top SALE pick is the cherry red Nora Dress. The fitted backless bodice with soft circular ruffle and delicate straps is a perfect cocktail dress for a summer wedding. But fear not here’s our styling tips!

A sleek up-do will let the dress do the talking and allow you to wear some Elizabeth Taylor-esque jewels. We have chosen these Erickson Beamon earrings in cherry red with hints of fuschia, lemon and blue. Keep your make-up simple and focus on contouring the eyes and cheekbones.

We like the rest of the world love Nicholas Kirkwood’s heels, we decided that if you are to invest in a pair of SS13 heels to take you through to next season, these Nicholas Kirkwood for Pollini metallic wedges are just the pair! It would be silly to splurge on a sandal so these pointed full shoes are just the ticket!

You know how proud we are of our very own DJ/VJ/Designer/Baker sister Jessica Doyle?

Well she is in the white isle of Ibiza as we speak DJ-ing in everyone’s favourite hangout

As we countdown the days until we go at the end of September we have this on repeat in the studio .

We would love to know if you have any secret hideouts that you would recommend for our trip in a few weeks? Are there any restaurants/bars/clubs you would recommend for us to visit?

STYLE IT / WEAR IT / SHARE IT …in the studio.

Fashion, Studio Loves

As you know we are developing the STYLE IT / WEAR IT / SHARE IT page ready for the new season’s launch on the website. The studio girls have been styling some looks themselves and we have squeezed some sneek-peek shots in for you too!

The collections are split into two trends; “Electric City” and “At the Bolshoi”

The first trend “Electric City” combines luxe fabrics with soft jerseys, tee-shirt dresses with zip on leather skirts or draped silk crepe perfect for that cool September night out in NYC. The collection is priced from £150-250 meaning you can shop to your hearts content adding pieces to your KD Collection right the way through the season.

The second trend “At the Bolshoi” uses soft silk drapes and panelled leather to create figure hugging statement pieces. With the Bolshoi Ballet, Moscow becoming cool again we wanted to design a collection for our girl in the city. Bright reds and gothic blacks are guaranteed to make the fash-girls heart miss a beat. This collection is priced from £250-450.

We can’t wait to share it with you!
