#blastfromthepast - circa 2010!

This is one of my favourite, if not the best shoots I have done. These really looked campaign shots. Kirsty the model was unreal, hardly any make-up and we didn’t even touch her hair and she looks stunning.
We did the shoot in the Liverpool One store on the off walls, she looked like she was just about to hit the bars in New York, laid back cool.

Lovin’ and Loathin’ for a Saturday.

Today we are Lovin’ the Cutler and Gross sunglasses collection. Who cares that it is freezing outside and we have ice on our car windows if the sun is out we need some amazing eye gear. These glasses will go with any piece of the Kirsty Doyle Print collection http://www.kirsty-doyle.com .

However we are also Loathin’ traffic jams. We have been doing lots of delivering of dresses in the north west which means hopping on and off the motorway. eek.

The less said about traffic jams the better.

SS11. Editorial shoot.Blast from the Past.

I love this shoot. Our model Lucy was amazing on the day and a true professional.

The colours are a stark contrast to this season’s ice-cream colours of strawberries and lemons!

This shoot was staged in our Liverpool One shop and Lucy was perched on a white plinth which was carefully placed upon a mirror. Jessica was the photographer and has worked on these shotes to make a great campaign photo.

We need a name for the collection, here is the inspiration..

I loved the feedback you gave us on our facebook page and on here about which skirt style you liked for the Citrine Skirt so I thought I would name this the KD Style Council. I will come up with ideas and then discuss them with you through our social networking avenues. I love getting people involved with the brand. In fact our logo for the store carrier bags was designed by a wonderful intern Sophie Heron. So, I love to encourage people to share the thoughts and ideas on the brand and its direction, the conversation between company and consumer is important for growth. Here goes..

We need a name for the new collection it is due to launch second week in February, it isn’t Valentines related before you ask. It is a collection for Spring.

Colour Inspiration

“Lily of the mantlepiece..”

Fabrics for the collection

Lurex/Silk/Sequin..

A velvet shoe.

So looking at the colours/fabrics/textures what do you think?

We will be shooting this on a blonde girl with heavy brows. It will be on a white background, brightly lit photographs will make you think of summertime in California in a sun filled top floor studio!

I can’t wait to hear what you think..

Monday’s Lovin’ or Loathin’

Studio Loves

 LOVIN’

We are all Lovin’ Laura Mercier‘s products at the moment from the pistachio souffle body creme to their staple make up kit piece, Illuminating tinted moisturiser is a must. Banish those dark circles and make your skin glow!

 LOATHIN’

This is a deliberately small picture of a rain cloud.

Weather in Liverpool for the rest of the week is looking tres bad. We will be shooting our Pretty Pastel wardrobe staples on Monday and this rain is not helping, we want sunshine and candy floss. But we have rain and puddles. Sad face..
